Now, that you have got one of these great speakers, it’s time to make it a daily part of your life. So, let’s begin with the Echo Dot setup process:

Download the Alexa app uk

You can download the Alexa app from the play store for android phones or from apple store for iOS. You just have to go to the App store or apple Play store and
Search for “Alexa app.” and download and install the app to your device.

• Turn on your Echo Dot –
• Connect your device to a power source
• Now, turn on the device
• When you hear Alexa saying, & Hello, your Echo Device is ready for setup.& you are good to go
• Place the device in the right location
• The device should be placed at the right location like:
•  Eight inches from any walls and windows
•  Away from physical obstacles
• Close to the source of the internet so it could connect to the internet easily.

Setup Echo Dot

Now, open the Alexa App setup  and look for the device in which you want to set up echo dot.

•  For that, press the Plus sign in the top right corner
•  Press the hamburger menu (the three horizontal lines) in the upper left corner then select “Add Device.”
•  Press the Amazon Echo icon
•  Now, find your device which is this case is Echo Dot icon
•  Click on your Echo device and the setup will begin.

Connect Amazon Echo dot to a Wi-Fi network.

Now, you need to connect the amazon echo dot to a Wi-Fi device to connect Echo
devices with a screen to Wi-Fi:

•  Go to settings and then select Wi-Fi.
•  Select the Wi-Fi network and enter the network password (if required). ...
•  Select Connect.

Sign into Amazon.

• Once you have connected the Echo dot to the wireless network you need to
• sign in with your Amazon account.
•  Now enter your Amazon account email address and password. If you don’t have an account create one right now and get started.
• Echo dot is now done with the setup and you can start using it
• Now, you have successfully set up the Amazon Echo dot and you are ready to make use of its amazing features and functionalities.

Now, get let’s get started.

First, say the “wake" word and then tell the Alexa app what you want it to do.  Change the activation word later if you have other Alexa device in the home which works on the same activation work. Once you start using it you can even customize the device’s various features like location, wake word, background, language, sounds, clock face, cards, brightness, etc. You can even Sync it with “smart home” features like turning on/off lights, adjusting the thermostat, opening the garage door, etc.
